  why jw's commit suicide?

  we all know the rate of suicide is high among jw's.

  my question is this- was there some subliminal messages that encourage this.

  i was a born in and my entire life i would have these thoughts that could come out of nowhere,"kill yourself.

  You know posts like this are extremely insensitive and not thought out. Everybody in the world can struggle with mental illness. There is no cure. You cannot stop it. No group is immune. And there has never been a study done about the suicide rate of Jehovah's Witnesses that I've ever heard of. In the U.S. about 40,000 people a year kill themselves. I do not believe the suicide rate of Jehovah's Witnesses is anywhere near that.

  People need to make posts where they are not coming from the JW's-are-the-worst-people-in-the-world in all aspects. It kind of makes you look like a homer.

  what i'm saying is the white race is the only one that has a verity of eye and hair colors , so what gives?

  is it that this race was influenced genetically by a group of pre humans that didn't mix with other races?

  What a numb nuts you are. There are different color hair and eyes and skin variation in every race. It simply has to do with genetics and who has children with who.

  How can you know what the watch costs? And isn't materialism the love of money and not money itself?

  Talk about trying to over analyze every little thing. Geesh. It could be a $50 dollar watch. Unless you have the receipt it's kind of inane and childish to just throw that out there.

  if you have the inclination, call the number and ask ..."is russia banning "reading the bible, singing and praying with fellow worshippers"??.

  can you say red herring?.

  maybe they should add "feeding your children is clearly not criminal, neither is helping an old woman cross the street".

  Coming here sometimes is worst than listening to first graders try and talk and explain about world affairs. The ignorance is so mind blowing I literally can't believe it.

  Putin is trying to ban all non-state aligned churches. In other words all non-Russian Orthodox churches. It's political. It isn't just about JW's. Please. Read and expand your mind and know what the hell you are talking about!

  In Russia this site would be banned by the way. So before you hail taking away others freedoms you may want to think about your own!

  by now all of us are aware of the moves in russia to ban the organization and the frantic letter writing campaign started by the governing body.. however, what i thought was interesting and perhaps not already mentioned, is the fact that governing body themselves may have actually created this very situation.

  due of their personal greed to seize the brotherhood's saved congregational accounts and the ownership of the publisher funded kingdom halls through the centralizing of those assets into the watchtower corporation (which i'm sure has taken place in russia too), the ability for putin to take the lot has only been made it easier.

  however if the governing body had left the ownership of the halls at the local level, i expect that the best the russian government could do would be to have them closed and then start the much longer court process of taking them one by one.. and if anyone has any delusions in thinking that a ton of letters will in some way convince putin to change his mind; think again.

  Putin is attacking all religion that is not state aligned. This isn't a JW thing. This is any church that isn't the Orthodox Russian Church being negated in order to gain the support of the 75% of Russians that belong to the Orthodox Church. It is a political move.

  You really need to do a little reading guys and gals so you can stay on top of things!

  Jehovah's Witnesses have been banned by many other countries before. If you want freedom for all then you have to give it to all. And in Russian they are trying to ban all religion that is not the Orthodox Church. It is a political ruse to gain support of the majority of Russian people. I think by now everyone would understand that Putin is trying to take over the world.

  Why so few XJWs online?

  not too long ago, i posted a topic where i pointed out that there are about 1 million xjws alive right now.

  that number only represented the disfellowshipped ones... didn't account for those who had become publishers and left or anyone else who got hurt by that group by proxy.

  so, why are there so few of them online?
